Frank Brümmel: Bee Dance
Frank Brümmel’s Bee Dance consists of a stone paving with ornate pattern outside the front door and a concrete outdoor table. The stone paving’s pattern is inspired by the wax cakes in a bee hive and the the starting point of the pattern on the table top is the pattern of the bee dance. Through bee dance bees communicate to other bees of their hive where to find food sources. The length and intensity of the dance shows the quality and location of the food. Bees orientate with the sun. Brümmel completed the artwork as part of his internship during his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts.
