The British environmental artist Trudi Entwistle’s Apple Heart bench sculptures outside the house are inspired by the apple trees in the orchard and a tale Jan-Erik Andersson wrote for the house about the love story of King Erik XIV and Karin Månsdotter. The King was pushed from the throne because of his marriage to Månsdotter and between 1570-1571 the couple was imprisoned at the Castle of Turku, that can be seen from the Leaf House. The artwork consists of three apple-shaped benches that from a certain angle look like hearts. Entwistle also landscaped the environment around the house.
